New Emojis in 2026
Unicode 18.0, released in September 2026, added 9 emoji characters. They are listed below with the 7 emoji of the previous release, Unicode 17.0. GlyphView tracks font support, so each character also carries its count of real fonts that already include it — and for characters this new, support is what lags: in the catalog snapshot of 21 October 2026, no font contains any of them yet. The counts are exact, and they will move as fonts catch up.
New in Unicode 18.0 the 2026 release
Font counts come from the snapshot of 21 October 2026 and count fonts — one style of a family — whose files include the character, the same dated counts used across the site. Each tile opens the character's full page; the corner icon copies it.

From Unicode 17.0 arriving on devices through 2026
These 7 emoji were added in September 2025. Platform rollouts lag the standard — each maker ships new emoji on its own schedule — so the 17.0 set is the new emoji most people actually receive during 2026.
When do they reach phones and computers?
When a new emoji appears on a given phone or computer is up to the platform — Apple, Google, Samsung and the other makers each add the characters on their own schedules, and the timing varies. GlyphView tracks the characters themselves and which fonts include them; the counts above are where that support stands today.
About this page
Membership is mechanical, not editorial: a character is here because the Unicode data marks it as an emoji whose first assignment is Unicode 18.0 or 17.0. The full release lists are on the Unicode 18.0 and Unicode 17.0 pages; each character above links to its own page, where its glyph wall will appear as fonts begin to include it.
