About braille patterns
A braille cell is a grid of eight dots — two across, four down — and 256 on-off combinations cover every pattern the grid can make. As text, the block is the writing system Louis Braille built. As pictures, those same 256 cells are a ready-made pixel font: each one a 2-by-4 tile, fine enough to draw recognizable images in plain text, which is the whole basis of braille art.
The first pattern is the famous one: U+2800, the blank, which renders as an empty cell. Because platforms treat it as content rather than whitespace, it doubles as the standard 'blank character' for empty names and posts — its own page tells that story.
